That guy named DeAngelo

I felt a tapping on my shoulder and some yelling.

"SARAH! WAKE UP! YOU'RE SLEEPING ON THE JOB!" Trudy said yelling.

"I just fell asleep for five minutes." I said yawing.

"Either go get some coffee or go home." Trudy said.

"Okay boss, I'll get some coffee."

I had a long night after I left Molly's bar. I went to Kelly's house and we just talked for hours until I had to hurry up and head into work. I'm so tired. Coffee time.

"Late night?" Roman said walking into the office. I was currently writing up police reports from the previous day.

"Yes, very long. I think I've been up since 4:30 am yesterday morning." I said rolling my eyes.

"Go home and rest. I can cover your shift." Roman said.

"I'll be good. I'll get some coffee in me and finish these reports and then head to patrol."

"Okay, you better go home after your shift though." Roman said walking away to head to his squad car.

"I will Roman. Thanks!" I said getting up and getting coffee.

I walked into the break room to get coffee.

"So, how was your night?" Kim said winking.

"We just talked all night. Nothing else women." I said laughing.

"Suuuuure."

"I'm being serious."

"Well, sooner or later it'll happen." Kim said laughing. "Hurry up and finish those reports so you can patrol with me."

"Patrol with Roman. I'm taking my time to write a detailed report in case I have to be summoned to court." I said.

"Alright. I'll see you later if you go onto patrol." Kim said leaving the room.

I grabbed my coffee and went back to my desk where Onyx was just laying down with his dog toy in his mouth sleeping. Ruff life I guess.

*Kat's POV 11 a.m.*

I was currently at Patrick Kane's house sitting on the couch cuddling up next to him.

"What are you staring at?" I asked.

"I'm just admiring your beauty." Kane said with a shit ass grin.

"You're cheesy as fuck." Kat said laughing.

"It's true though."

"So babe, on a serious note." I said.

"What?" Kane said all big eyed.

"Do you think we should come out as a couple? I mean we've been dating for over six months now."

"I mean we could. I just don't want the crazy fans attacking you or anything, because you're dating me."

"I can handle myself." I said flipping my hair.

"I mean if anything, I can let my body guard follow you around when you're alone."

"Patrick! I'll be fine." I said getting up to get some coffee from the coffee maker.

"I'm fine with anything. I'm sure sooner or later the cat will be out of the bag. I'm sure there's fans who already know we're dating." Kane said shrugging.

"Well, I already told my girls, but that's about it." I said handing Patrick a cup of coffee. "Does your team even know?"

"Yeah, they all know that I am dating you. I can't hide that type of information from them, especially Toews! Toews knows everything." Kane said laughing.

"Captains know everything." I said rolling my eyes.

"You got that right. I think maybe we should just come out. We can hold each others hands in public. We can just be ourselves instead of hiding it." Kane said.

"Sounds good to me babe." I said smiling.

"I better start to get ready to head to Nashville. I'll see you tonight babe." Patrick said kissing my cheek.

"Quick question?" I asked.

"Yes, go a head."

"Can I get a couple of tickets for games three and four?" I wanted to ask because I want to bring my friends with me.

"I'll pull some strings for you." Patrick said walking into his bedroom to pack for the Nashville trip.

*My POV*

I just got down writing my reports and turned them into chain of custody/evidence. Well, now that's done, I should go patrol the streets of Chicago.

"Come on Onyx, it's time to head to the squad car." I said putting on the leash.

I walked into the main lobby and Trudy stopped me.

"You get those reports done?" Trudy asked.

"Yes, I turned them into chain of custody/evidence Sergeant." I said smiling.

"You better have."

"I did. Now, can I head to patrol?" I asked starting to get stern.

"Yeah, go kick some ass out there." Trudy said smiling.

"Will do Sergeant." I said finally heading to my car.

"Well, Onyx you think we're going to find bad guys today?" I asked him.

Onyx just started barking.

"I'm taking that as a yes." I said chuckling.

Today I was assigned to patrol down by Michigan Avenue, Wacker Drive, Vanburen Street, Magnificent Mile, and all the surrounding streets in the same vicinity. The hosh-posh area of Chicago where the rich would drop tons of money on the merchandise. Not my type of people. Also, the type of people who probably are some type of criminal in a way.

I parked my car and got out with Onyx. We started walking down Michigan Avenue first. It was a beautiful day out. It wasn't raining for a spring day temperatures at around 65 degrees. My kind of weather.

Onyx had his snoot straight up in the air sniffing.

"You got something boy?" I asked him.

He picked up his pace even more now. He is definitely onto a lead at this point. He then stopped and started barking. He's got something. He stopped at a flower pot that had some flowers blooming already. I put on my gloves and moved the flowers and there was a spot in the dirt that looked touched. I started to move some of the dirt around. I found a kilo of what seemed to be marijuana.

"Who's a good boy!" I gave Onyx a tennis ball as a reward to chew on.

I think someone was going to make a drug deal soon.

I called in my department.

"Sergeant I think we need to get more patrol on Michigan Avenue. Onyx found a kilo of marijuana in the flower pots. I think there might be a possible drug deal going down soon. I couldn't tell you when or what time it'll happen, but I think we should keep an extra eye out just in case we catch it in the act." I said.

"Roman and Burgess can cover the extra hands on this one. You can write a report and then head home. You've worked enough in the past two days." Trudy said.

"Alright. Sounds good Sergeant. I'll write my report and then go home and get some rest." I said.

Sometimes the reports can be tedious. The only down part of this job, but otherwise I love it. Well, let's get this report done so I can be home to watch the Hawks playoff game.

*Matt's POV*

My phone started ringing.

"Hello?"

"Matt can you make it to Nashville by 7 p.m. tonight?" Coach Q said on the other line.

"Yeah, I can take a plane there. Why?" I asked.

"Artem Anisimov went down on a injury earlier in practice. Can you fill in for him tonight?" Coach Q asked.

"Yeah, I'd gladly take the opportunity to fill in his place tonight. I'll try and get there a little sooner to catch pregame warm ups!"

"See you tonight." Coach Q said hanging up the phone.

Yes! I'm finally getting the opportunity to play in my first NHL game. And it's game one of the playoffs for the Chicago Blackhawks. I got to show Quenneville that I can be part of this team. I left the Johnny's Ice House to head home and gather all my stuff before I go to Midway airport.

*Pregame 6:30 p.m.*

I put on my white Hawks jersey with my last name on it. Man, this is really starting to hit me that I'm playing my first NHL playoff game. I was taking my first step on Nashville's home ice. It was so surreal to witness.

"You ready for this?" Jonathon Toews asked me.

"Yeah, I am ready for this." I said all hyped up.

"Don't be over hyped though. You got to keep that composer." Toews said.

"Thanks! I'll definitely keep that in mind." I've always looked up to Toews. So, I definitely appreciate the advice he gives me.

~Puck drop~

I was out on the second line filling on Arty's spot at center. I took my first draw at center ice. A win.
The puck went back to Marian Hossa, Marian Hossa passes it to Duncan Keith, Duncan Keith passes it to Artemi Panarin, Panarin shoots for the net. He scoooooores! The crowd boos as the Hawks go up against the Nashville Preds.

Blackhawks up 1-0 with 10:33 remaining of the first. I headed to the bench after my first shift in the game. I got a pat on the back by Coach Q. Pretty good for the first shift.

The buzzard went off to indicate the end of the first period. The period was 1-0 Hawks at first intermission.

The lockerroom was a positive atmosphere. Jonathon Toews stood up and started talking, "Alright guys we got to keep this going. Don't take stupid penalties. Try to get on the score board. We want that cushion lead tonight. Let's go out there and do it."

Everyone cheered. I could get use to this.

The buzzard went off and we headed down the tunnel for the second period. The fans were really starting to get rowdy.

2nd period started. I took the draw to open the second period. A Loss. The puck ended up going to PK Subban. Subban out skating myself and Patrick Kane. He is such a good defense men. Subban missed the net. I get the rebound and skate back towards the neutral zone. I hand the puck off to Panarin. Panarin shoots the puck towards Kane. Kane shoots, but misses. Pekka goes behind net and shoots the puck to center ice. Damn. The preds take possession of the puck and brings into our zone. They shoot for the net, and it slips right past Crawford. The whole crowd goes wild. Catfish get thrown onto the ice. I head back to the bench. Fuck.

The period is now 1-1 with 15:20 left in the second period. We still have a lot of time left.

Before you know it we're heading into OT. The current score is 2-2.

Brent Seabrook handles the puck down neutral ice. He passes the puck to Duncan Keith. Keith takes it into the preds zone. Keith hands me the puck and I weave through two preds players and I shoot the puck. It goes past Pekka Rinne. HAWKS WIN!

The whole bench comes skating out giving me head butts to the helmet. Wow, is this really happening to me right now?

*My POV*

I arrived home and Onyx started barking like crazy. What is he barking at? Burglar? Jam? Ashley maybe? I got out of my car very cautiously and grabbed Onyx. I walked to my front door and saw a man.

"Kelly?" I asked confused.

"Yeah. I wanted to come and see you." Kelly said smiling.

"How did you know where I live?" I said suspiciously.

"Herrmann did." Kelly said.

"Oh okay. I just hope you're not stalking me." I said laughing.

"No, I'm definitely not stalking you." Kelly said laughing.

"Good. I sure hope not." I said laughing. "Well, come in. Would you like to join me for the Hawks game?" I asked.

"Yeah, I would like that very much." Kelly said smiling.

I opened the front and door.

"God dammit Jam!" I said slamming the door. "Why, do you have all the lights off and why are you in my house right now?"

"I didn't mean to scare you. I was just trying to sleep on your couch."

"You have your own house though! I mean Ashley and you are roommates." I was getting mad, because I just want to watch the Hawks and enjoy myself.

"Ashley was having a butt buddy over, and I didn't want to hear them go at it all night." Jam said shrugging.

"I guess you can stay on my couch, but question why are you going to sleep during a Hawks game?" I asked confused.

"Well, when you work for an IT department you never know how long you're going to be working." Jam said.

"I sure know that feeling." I said rolling my eyes. "Well, Kelly and I will just watch the game upstairs and try not to be too loud." I said pulling Kelly's hand up the stairs.

We went upstairs and I turned on the flat screen tv.

"I am so sorry about my friend. I gave her a key to my house, and sometimes she comes unannounced." I said.

"No, you're fine. We'll just keep it quiet." Kelly said smiling. "So, who's your guy on the Hawks?"

"Scott Darling."

"He's got nothing on me." Kelly said smirking. I threw a pillow at his head.

"Shut up!" I said laughing.

"Besides why do you even like a backup goal tender?" Kelly asked.

"He's got a lot of potential to be a starting goalie. He has a lot of promise." I said.

"That's a good explanation." Kelly said.

Kelly laid down on my bed with Onyx.

"I'm going to take a quick shower, because a 18 hour shift makes a girl stinky." I said laughing.

"Yeah, take your time. I'm in no rush. I'll order us some pizza for dinner."

"Pineapple pizza!" I yelled from the bathroom door.

"Alright, that's an interesting choice for pizza." Kelly said laughing.

"What's wrong with that?" I asked.

"Oh nothing."

I closed my bathroom door. I love my hot showers so much.

Kelly went downstairs to go ask Jam if she wanted some pizza.

"Jamila, I hate to wake you, but would you like some pizza?" Kelly asked.

"Hell yeah, I want some pizza." Jam said.

"What type of pizza do you want?" Kelly asked.

"I'll take some sausage pizza. Thank you." Jam said.

"You're welcome." Kelly said walking away to order in the pizza.

I got out of the shower and I put on some more comfortable clothes. I walked out and the pizza was sitting out on my table in my room.

"You're just in time." Kelly said handing me a plate.

"Thanks kind sir."

"You're welcome."

"Did I miss any of the game?" I asked not knowing how long I showered for.

"Just about five minutes of the game, but no one scored."

"That's very good!" I sat down. Wait a second number 24 on the Hawks? Who's that?????

"Who's the number 24 guy?" I asked.

"DeAngelo. That's what the back of the jersey says." Kelly said.

"No waaaaay."

"What?" Kelly asked confused.

"That's my friend Matt! He's been playing for the Icehogs hoping to make it to the NHL."

"Wow, you know someone famous." Kelly said laughing.

"I guess so." I said laughing.

Pat Foley yells Bread man scooooores!

I yelled and cheered after Bread man scores. Shit. I forgot I got to keep quiet.

"You know you're suppose to be quiet." Kelly said.

"I forgot." I said frowning.

"I know a way to keep you quiet."

"Oh really now?"

Kelly kissed me.

"Yeah, that will definitely keep me quiet." I said laughing.

Kelly and I just watched the Hawks game. I started to doze off into the second period.

"YES!" Kelly said yelling. I woke up to him yelling that the Hawks score. I looked up at the tv and the Hawks won in OT.

"Well, look at that your friend Matt scored the GWG." Kelly said.

"I'm happy for him. Hopefully, it'll mean Coach Q will give him more shots on the team." I said.

The Hawks game ended and I was yawing like crazy.

"I think it's time for me to head to bed." I said.

"You definitely need it." Kelly said. "I'll let you sleep. I'm going to head home."

"No, you can stay." I said insisting.

"Alright, that sounds good to me." Kelly said getting up to head to the bathroom.

Onyx jumped on my bed and I gave him a hug.

"You like Kelly?" I asked Onyx. He just wagged his tail.

"I'm taking it as a yes." I said smirking.

Well, maybe this might be a good thing for myself. I think this relationship might work.

Shoot, Aim, and Fire

*Chicago Illinois Spring 2017*

4:30 a.m. My phone started ringing. I groaned at the sound of my ringtone going off, because I knew it was a call from my job.

"Hello." I answered rubbing my eyes to try and wake up.

"Hello. Can you bring Onyx to 123 Main Street. I'll tell you the details when you arrive on scene." Hank Voight said in the phone.

"Yeah, I'll be there as fast as I can." I got up from my bed and put on my light blue Chicago police officer uniform, my utility belt, my radio, and finally my black boots. I went downstairs and Onyx was in his cage knowing I was heading to work. I opened the cage and told him to head into the squad car.

Five minutes later I arrived on scene. There was an apartment engulfed in flames. Squad 3, Truck, and Ambo 66 were all on scene along with my department.

"What do we got?" I asked Hank.

"We got a possible death investigation. The witness from the apartment stated he heard some disturbance going on from upstairs. He called us, but when we arrived on scene the whole apartment structure was on fire. Can you take Onyx and see if he can search out any out of the ordinary scents." Hank stated.

"I'll see what Onyx can do. It's a little hard because I do not have any sorta clothing available from him to sniff a scent, but we'll try." I said heading to my car to grab Onyx. I commanded Onyx to start searching the surrounding area of the apartment. We went from the front porch to the East side of the complex. Onyx started to pick up the pace a little bit to the back of the apartment when he stopped and sat. He alerted me that there was a piece of evidence hidden in the grass. I put on my gloves and picked up the piece of cloth.

"Good boy." I told Onyx while he wagged his tail. I then let him sniff the piece of cloth and then I put it in a evidence bag. Onyx started moving North where there was a little bike path. I think he caught a scent of what could possibly be a potential suspect. We headed down the bike path to a little bridge where Onyx started barking. I heard yelling from the bush. In the bush was a man who had a torn shirt and had some blood dripping from his head. I radioed the team over where the bike path is.

"I think we might have caught someone that might be of interests." I radioed them as I put the handcuffs on this man. The team was walking over to us.

"Good job Onyx." Jay Halsted said petting him on the head. "Now, let's bring this guy into custody."

We headed back to the apartment, so we could head to District 21 to interview the unidentified man. As, I was heading to my squad car I accidentally ran into a firefighter.

"I am so sorry. Onyx can be a fast dog." I replied.

"No sweat." the firefighter said. "Did Onyx catch anything?"

"Yeah, he got someone that could possibly be related to this crime"

"Good. Well, I'll probably see you around with Mr. Onyx." the firefighter said patting his head.

"I'm sure." I said smiling while walking to my car.

*10:30 a.m. District 21 Chicago, Illinois. *

I walked in with Onyx and Trudy called my name.

"Good job today on busting the man who caused the fire in the apartment and bringing justice to the family of the murdered victim." Trudy said.

"Thanks Trudy, but you should be thanking this fellow." Onyx just wagged his tail.

"Yes, I should be thanking Mr. Onyx." She said looking at him. "Any way, you have detail with Kim Burgess this morning, so you guys will be patrolling around the area." Trudy said.

"Okay, boss." I said.

I walked outside the building. Kim Burgess was sitting on the stoop probably waiting for me.

"Hey Sarah and Onyx." Kim said smiling.

"Hey Kim. You ready to kick some ass on the streets." I said laughing. Kim and I are usually the typical beat cops who work the streets together. I do not mind at all, because I really appreciate her as a police officer. She goes by the books and plus she reminds me of myself.

"Hell yeah." Kim said pounding our fists together.

We both got in our squad cars and drove to the Lake Shore Drive area to patrol. A good place I started at was Navy Pier in Chicago. A lot of tourists and a lot of people in a mile stretch of land. We parked our cars and decided to do foot patrol with Onyx. Onyx is a dual-use dog, because he can track people and search out narcotics.

"So, how was that bust with the intelligence unit earlier?" Kim asked.

Hank Voight is the head guy for the intelligence unit, and he'll call me in every once in a while because I'm the only Chicago Police Officer in District 21 who has a dog. Otherwise, I'm just your typical cop.

"It was a rather fast search to be honest. Hank wanted Onyx to search for the individual who murdered someone and lit the apartment on fire to cover his tracks of the murder. Onyx and I were searching the side of the house when he got a whiff of something. It happened to be a small piece of clothing in the grass. I let him sniff it and he showed me to where the man was hiding under a bike bridge." I said.

"Damn, that is pretty cool. I'm glad they found out who did that crime. I hope someday I'll be able to be part of the intelligence unit upstairs."

"I'm sure you'll get your chance. You're a very great cop and very good at your job." I said.

"Thanks Sarah." Kim said smiling.

"You're welcome. Question, would you like to join myself and couple other of my friends up at Molly's tonight?"

"Yeah, I would like that very much. I don't get out too much. I'm usually at Atwater's house with his daughter." Kim said.

"Girl, get out more often. You're more than welcome to come join me to things if you want. All you have to do is hit me up." I said as Onyx started to sniff something out. "Kim, he is onto something."

Onyx must've gotten a whiff of narcos because he was definitely on a lead at this point. We where almost to the end of the pier where the boats stop docking. The last boat Onyx lead us to. He started barking at a women holding a box in her hands heading up on the boats bridge.

"Stay where you are!" Kim yelled pulling her gun out.

The women dropped the box and out poured a couple kilos of a white powdery substance probably cocaine.

"Kneel onto the ground." I said.

The women knelled onto the ground and put her hands up. Kim put the hand cuffs on her.

"So, what are you doing with all that drugs?" I asked.

"I'm not talking. I need a lawyer." The women said.

"You'll get your lawyer when you head to our department." Kim said. "You have the right to remain silent and refuse to answer questions. Anything you say may be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to attorney, and if not one will be appointed to you. Do you understand your rights?"

"I understand my rights." The women stated.

Kim went to bring the women to her squad car and bring her back to the precinct. I bagged the evidence and then took the evidence and Onyx to the squad car.

"Well, looks like I'm going to spend my time writing up reports for the crimes that have happened today. While you sit back and just live a lazy dog life in the back of the squad car. Lucky dog you." I said laughing and kissing Onyx on the head.

*7 p.m. Mollys*

"I need a drink!" I yelled walking up to Hermann at the bar.

"Rough day?" Hermann asked.

"Rough and long. Onyx caught two bad guy today, so I guess something was good." I said.

"He's a great dog. We need more of him around here. So, what would you like to drink tonight?"

"I'll take a Guinness." I said while taking a seat at the bar.

"A Guinness it is. Coming right up."

Jamila, Kat, and Ashley walked in.

"Heeyyyy." Jam said walking up to take a seat next to me. "How was your day?" Jam asked.

"Long. I had responded to a couple of calls today. A lot of paperwork and report writing I had to do" I said.

"At least your doing something good for the city of Chicago." Kat said laughing.

"True. So, how's life with that uhhh that Patrick guy?" I asked.

"Wait, did Jamila tell you I started dating a guy?" Kat asked getting all big eyed.

"She just said you were butt buddies." I said laughing as Jam spit her drink out.

"I did not say that!" Jam said laughing.

"I hate you guys." Kat said. "You guy know who Patrick is!"

"Do we know? You like to hide stuff on us." Ashley said.

"He plays for the Chicago Blackhawks." Kat said groaning.

"Wait, you mean the Patrick Kane from the Chicago Blackhawks Patrick Kane?" I asked all confused.

"Yes ma'am." Kat said.

"Get out!" Ashley said.

"How the hell did you manage that?" Jam asked.

"Actually, I went to a Hawks game and got hit in the head with the glass by Kane, because he actually went to be physical and yeah the glass just kinda fell. He felt bad, so he let me come get an autographed stick and a tour of the locker room. We hit it up after that." Kat said.

"Well I'll be damned." Ashley said.

"Does that mean we'll get some playoff tickets for free?" I asked.

"I'm not sure yet." Kat said.

"Tell him to hook your sisters up, because I want to go to a playoff game." Jam said.

"Yeah, I want to see Jonathan Toews Butt!" Ashley said.

"Why is he not here right now?" Jam asked.

"We're currently keeping it on the down low, because you guys know crazy puck bunnies." Kat said.

"You guys got to come out sooner than later, because fans get crazy." Ashley said.

"We'll see." Kat said as she put down her Margarita.

Matt finally came in.

"I need a beer ASAP!" Matt said.

"What got into you?" I asked all curious.

"Long day. Coach Sutter is training us like we're training for the god damn Olympics." Matt said. Matt is currently training with the Rockford Icehogs, the affiliated team to the Chicago Blackhawks. He hopes to eventually make it to the NHL one day.

"Well, he'll shape you into a great hockey player then." Jam said.

"I sure hope so." Matt said. "So, what did I hear about Kat and Patrick Kane?"

"Damn! Does everyone that is involved with hockey know?" Kat said groaning.

"Don't be ashamed if he makes you happy then he makes you happy. Don't worry about those haters." Matt said.

"See, I like how deep this man is." Ashley said.

"See, Kat you should just let the cat out of the bag." I said.

The door opened at Molly's and in came all of Firehouse 51. Damn, there's a lot of them I thought to myself. The firefighter that I ran into earlier by accident came and sat a few rows down from where we were sitting. He is pretty good looking. Sarah, stop thinking like this it is the alcohol talking.

"Sarah, why you eye balling that firefighter?" Jam asked.

"Oh Onyx and I ran into him earlier on a call." I said taking a sip of my Guinness.

"He's pretty good looking." Ashley stated.

"I know you are checking him out Missy." Kat said. "Go up there and talk to him!"

"No, I don't want to." I said rolling my eyes.

"I'm going to go over there and get him for you." Jam, said.

"NO!" I said as I raised my voice.

"Simmer down. I was only kidding with you." Jam said.

"You sure?" I asked narrowing my eyes at Jam.

"Yeah, you right, I was totally going to go over there and get him for you." Jam said.

"I'm just going to walk over there myself, so I don't have to hear you three talking about it." I said getting up and walking over to this fire man whom I know nothing about.

"Hey, want to buy a girl a drink." I said sitting next to this fireman.

"Yeah, sure. What are you drinking?" He asked.

"A Guinness." I said.

"A girl who likes beer. I like that." He said laughing calling over Otis.

"Yes, I like my beer like I like my men." Oh god why am I so cheesy? I thought to myself while chuckling.

"Yeah? So, what is your name?" The man asked.

"Tell me your name first and I'll tell you mine." I said winking.

"Kelly, Kelly Severide." Kelly said.

"I'm Sarah Montgomery." I said shaking Kelly's hand.

"Nice to meet you. Well, formally meet."

"It's nice meeting you too. What is weird though is I know most of the Firehouse 51 guys. Why have I never heard of you?" I asked.

"I don't go out too often. Some of the guys at Firehouse 51 like to be adventures."

"Understandable. Some people are like that too at my precinct." I said.

"So, Onyx is your sidekick?"

"Yes, I've had him about two years now. I love him so much." I said smiling.

"I'll have to meet him sometime." Kelly said smiling.

"You definitely will." I said.

Kim walked into Molly's finally.

"OW OW!" Kim yelled. She probably did that because Kelly and I were making out.

"Can you be anymore louder?" I stopped doing what I was doing to talk to Kim.

"Yes." She said blushing. "So, who is this silver fox?" Kim asked.

"Kelly Severide from Firehouse 51." I said.

"Ohhhh a fire man." Kim said winking.

Oh Kim. I love her so much.

"Why don't you go get yourself a drink. Drinks on me this round." I said handing Kim some money.

"Thank you." She said walking away to get some drinks because the bar was extremely crowded now.

"So, who is Kim?" Severide asked.

"She is basically my other partner. We work the beat together. She is like my other half." I said.

"Oh, that is pretty cool. We need more female police out there."

"You're probably saying that to make me happy." I said laughing.

"No, I honestly think it." Severide said as Kim came with a couple of drinks and shots.

"Shots? Really?" I asked.

"Hell yeah!" Kim said excitedly.

"Well, cheers everyone." Severide said.

We all cheered for the night to be a good one.

That guy named DeAngelo

I felt a tapping on my shoulder and some yelling. "SARAH! WAKE UP! YOU'RE SLEEPING ON THE JOB!" Trudy said yelling. "...
